Dr Bharat Patel has started his journey as a consultant orthpaedic surgeon by establishing his first venture named Navrangpura Orthopaedic Hospital in the year 1987. In no time Navrangpura Orthopaedic Hospital has got its name in the list of one of the finest orthopaedic hospital in Ahmedabad city. Quality care with patient safety was prime most objective of Dr. Bharat Patel and in the year 1998 he thought of establishing a state of art hospital having all types of facilities available under one roof. Brainchild of Dr. Bharat Patel "Samved Orthopaedic Hospital" built and inaugurated on 27th September, 1998 having supportive services like Radio Diagnostic, Laboratory Investigation and ICU were established.

With Experience of more than 30 years, Dr. Bharat Patel is the driving force behind Samved Hospital and a renowned name in the Orthopaedic fraternity. He has till date performed 52000+ surgeries and is pioneer in Joint Replacement Surgery in Ahmedabad. Preventive healthcare his favourite topic and, he has delivered more than 800 educational lectures on preventive healthcare. He has also shared his knowledge on wellness on more than 250 episodes of “Hello Doctor”, a TV series addressing prevailing healthcare concerns and a live call in program “Samved Healthline” on current health topics.

Dr. Patel has always believed in Advanced Technology and in the year 2003 he has introduced Image Guided Surgery machine (Navigation Technology) to Asia- which was latest innovation in joint replacement surgery and has redefined the precision of joint replacement surgery.

He is firm believer of quality care and in the year 2003 he has taken initiative for quality and taken ISO certification for samved orthopaedic hospital. In the year 2006 Dr. Bharat Patel was selected for "Committee on Healthcare" by CII for the year 2006-07 and reselected for the year 2007-08.

An initiative in the form of NABH was taken by QCI in the year 2006 for quality deliverance of healthcare. Samved orthopaedic hospital was amongst few have taken initiative and applied for it.

In the year 2010, survey was conducted by "The Week" magazine and samved orthoapedic hospital was rated as 5th Best Orthopaedic Hospital in India.
